Editorial Policy
Our commitment to accuracy, transparency, and providing reliable UK tax information.
Our Mission
UK Salary Calculator exists to help UK taxpayers, business owners, and contractors understand their tax obligations. We provide free, accurate calculators based on official HMRC rates and thresholds.
Our goal is to demystify UK taxation and empower users to make informed financial decisions. We believe everyone deserves access to accurate tax information without paywalls or mandatory sign-ups.
Content Creation Process
1. Research & Planning
Before creating any calculator, we research HMRC guidance, review official legislation, and identify the most common user scenarios. We ensure we understand the complete tax rules before writing any calculation logic.
2. Development & Testing
Calculators are developed using formulas derived directly from HMRC guidance. We test calculations against known results, edge cases, and real-world scenarios to ensure accuracy.
3. Expert Review
All content is reviewed by Waqas Sagar ACA, FCCA, FMAAT, a Chartered Accountant regulated by ICAEW, ACCA and AAT with 18+ years of UK tax experience. This ensures professional standards and accuracy.
4. Publication & Monitoring
After publication, we monitor for user feedback and HMRC updates. Calculators are updated promptly when rates change or issues are identified.
